An essay written by a writer is usually an essay that presents the main point of the writer. However, the term is often unclear and may be confused with other terms such as an essay report book, newspaper or short story. Essays are traditionally been classified as formal or academic, or informal and artistic. Many people confuse these two categories and think that an essay needs to be perfect in order to be called one. This isn’t the situation. A majority of people do not take a look at a car prior to when they purchase it. In the same way, not all essays meet the standards of perfection.

The next element is writing, which is commonly called the body of the essay. The body of the essay comprises of all the arguments and details that are presented to support the thesis assertion. The supporting details and arguments are usually referred to as supporting points. Arguments themselves can be described as thesis statements. The writing itself will either support, or oppose, the arguments in the thesis statement.

The conclusion is an important part of the essay. The conclusion will essentially summarise and validate the entire point of the thesis statement. The conclusion needs to be concise and clear However, it should be convincing and logical.

The introduction and the rest of the paragraphs should provide a clear and thorough outline of the topic. The introduction should provide readers an overview of the subject and introduce the main topic. The remainder of the essay should expand or detail on the information in the introduction. The focus of this part of the essay must be answering questions or proving points, giving evidence, etc.
